JumpTV Scores Mobile Rights to World Cup Qualifiers

MocoNews reports that JumpTV, the Canada-based online sports video content provider, has bought from SCP Worldwide the exclusive North American online and mobile rights for the FIFA 2010 World Cup South American qualifying matches.

JumpTV paid about $3.5 million for these right, according to the report, giving it a minority stake in the rights for all broadcast platforms. That includes DTH, cable, terrestrial, Internet and mobile, reports WorldScreen, and have signed deals with ESPN, DirecTV, DISH Network and InDemand for TV packages as well.
