July 2014 World Map of Social Networks: Facebook Takes Over Latvia, Moldova

The July 2014 edition of the World Map of Social Networks from Vincos Blog was released this week, and Facebook made some progress in the Russian territories.

Facebook was the dominant social network in 130 of the 137 countries analyzed by Vincos Blog, which said the two biggest changes from its December 2013 World Map of Social Networks were:

  • Facebook conquered two new territories: Latvia, dethroning Draugiem, and Moldova, where Odnoklassniki was the leader.
  • In Iran, where state censorship toward Western social media is still strong, there was a change of habits: Facenama took the place of Cloob.
