Josh Eastright had been tapped to lead Bloomberg Government, the government news and analytics firm. Eastright will be taking over for co-founder Don Baptiste, who is leaving the organization.
Eastright, who was head of government affairs business prior to this promotion, has been at Bloomberg Government since 2012, when he joined as head of sales. His tenure within the Bloomberg empire goes back farther than that.
“There’s no better testament to the strength of the Bloomberg Government team than our ability to promote from within–and I can’t think of a more capable or knowledgeable candidate to lead Bloomberg Government than Josh, who started his career at Bloomberg nearly 20 years ago,” said Josh Steiner, Bloomberg LP head of industry verticals, in a statement.
