Vocativ Welcomes VP of Marketing

Jordan Jayson exits The Huffington Post.

After three years at The Huffington Post, first as marketing director and then as vp, brand strategy and development, Jordan Jayson (pictured) has moved over to Vocativ, where she will serve as vice president of marketing.

Here’s Tuesday’s memo from Vocativ COO Danna Rabin:

All –

In the past six months, we’ve been focusing on expanding our team, shaping our voice and building our audience. With our impressive growth, we now have the right momentum to raise our brand awareness. With this in mind, we’re excited to announce the hiring of Jordan Jayson as Vice President of Marketing.

Jordan will focus on brand strategy and messaging, audience development, industry positioning and PR, strategic partnerships, ad sales and trade marketing. She will report directly to me and work closely with [chief content officer] Greg [Gittrich] and [VP, content strategy and audience engagement] Susie [Banikarim].

Jordan is joining Vocativ from The Huffington Post, where she was VP, Brand Strategy and Development, reporting directly to Arianna Huffington. In her role at The Huffington Post, Jordan served as a conduit between the business and editorial sides of the organization in developing and executing consumer and trade marketing programs. She also led marketing in support of international expansion and new product launches, including mobile and video.

Prior to The Huffington Post, Jordan served as Director of Product Marketing at The Wall Street Journal. Before joining the content media world, she worked at creative agencies and advertising firms, including JWT and McCann.

Please join me now in welcoming her to the team!

Vocativ currently relies on a proprietary technology known as Verne.
