Jonah Peretti on Launching Huffington Post and BuzzFeed [Video]

Before founding BuzzFeed, Jonah Peretti helped launch the Huffington Post. In part three of our “Media Beat” interview, the founder shares his experiences using social media to boost traffic.

“What we’ve seen is that with the rise of Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Reddit and other social platforms, you can actually build a real business,” Peretti said. BuzzFeed is up to 25 million unique visitors per month, with Facebook bringing in the most referral traffic. Unlike the legacy publishers, he added,”We’re not dependent on Google.”
