Jon Stewart's Take on White House Security Breaches, Ousted Julia Pierson's Testimony

Hours after the resignation of Julia Pierson as director of the Secret Service, Jon Stewart tackled recent breaches to the White House and presidential security, identified Monday by The Washington Post’s Carol Leonnig and preceding Pierson’s Tuesday hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

After showing clips of news coverage since the September 19 White House fence-jumper incident and from Pierson’s testimony, Stewart mocked:

“Here’s how dysfunctional the Secret Service is at this point. Congress had to help them come up with solutions…A lock, an alarm system, or spiky plants.
