John Buffalo Mailer, Son of Norman Mailer, Publishes On Smashwords
John Buffalo Mailer, son of Norman Mailer, has just published a new, original story exclusively with Smashwords. The story, “Death, Food and Music,” is 7,500 words long and looks at post-Katrina New Orleans through the eyes of a stripper.
According to Mark Coker, founder of Smashwords, the story was written for and edited by Playboy Magazine, but due to staffing changes at the magazine, it was never published. When the rights reverted to Mailer, he decided to publish it himself with Smashwords.
