Jimmy Soni Joins The NY Observer

NY Observer logo GCapital New York reports that Jimmy Soni, the former Huffington Post managing editor, is joining The New York Observer as a social media consultant.

At AOL, Soni started out as chief of staff for Arianna Huffington, but rose quickly to managing editor. Things got dicey shortly after that. Soni, who was managing the HuffPost’s editorial fellow program, was investigated by the company for sexual harassing several fellows.

Soni stepped down from AOL in August, claiming he wanted to work on a book.
