Jeff Dufour is joining National Journal as editor of real-time news, responsible for NJ’s “What We’re Following” newsfeed. The tool was a key feature of the National Journal redesign that debuted about two months before Atlantic Media announced major changes to National Journal in October.
The changes, which included sizable staff cuts and a shift in focus toward project-based research and services, guaranteed a National Journal that would contrast starkly from its current form.
With Dufour’s hire, we know at least that NJ aims to preserve and continue to develop the feature that the team led by Jessica Huff and Andrew McGill created.
