iPod touch (left), iPhone 3G (right)
AppleInsider speculates that the next iPod touch model might gain a camera based on an Apple job description…
The sentence that set off this speculation reads:
The iPhone Engineering Group is looking for a Camera Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to drive the design, development and integration of camera models across iPhone and iPod.
My guess is that Apple HR took a job description template and forgot to chop off the and iPod part. But, honestly? I’m hoping I’m wrong. The iPod touch would be great if a camera and GPS (for geo-location information) were added to it. But, wouldn’t that remove one of the incentives to buy an iPhone?
