iPhone 4 3G Download Speed Twice as Fast as 3GS & Much Faster than iPad 3G
Daring Fireball’s John Gruber took a close look at 3G wireless data performance on the iPhone 4 as compared to an iPad 3G and iPhone 3G. His results? Quite surprising (to me) and in favor of the iPhone 4.
Gruber measured 3G download speed, upload speed, and latency for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPad 3g. He also threw in data when holding an iPhone 4 in a way to create the left-antenna problem as well as the iPhone 4 on a WiFi connection.
The iPhone 4 topped all three measurements.
