Here’s something funny we didn’t notice when the screenshots of Kobo’s iPad app circulated at the end of January. As Wired points out, while a graphical bookshel–complete with illusory 3D shelves for your cover art to sit on, face out–seems to now be standard for eReader apps, not all developers shop at the same furniture store. While Apple has copied the Classics app and gone with a nice grainy wooden shelf, Kobo has opted for something more modern. Is that formica, or maybe just several coats of white paint? Which look do you prefer?
