iPads are cool and stop motion is even cooler, so what happens when you put the two together?  You get an amazing new viral video of an iPad, claymation-style!

The video, aptly titled ‘Plasticine iPad!’, was created by Svetlana Shokhanova, an Interactive and New Media student at the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow.  The iPad in the video is created out of Plasticine modeling clay and it looks amazing.  I love the detail that went into all the little app icons, from Facebook to YouTube to the date.  Svetlana’s flat mate Andrew demos features of the iPad from Maps to the Cut the Rope game, and Garage Band.  The video has just over 50,000 views so far but is on the steady rise up the YouTube charts.

If you’re still waiting patiently for your iPad 2, feast your eyes on Svetlana’s Plasticine creation in the video below.  And if you’ve already got your iPad 2 in hand then, hey!  Why not watch this awesome video of an animated iPad on your iPad?
