Facebook users can apparently, finally now invite non-Facebook users to events via their email addresses, and the social network is also prompting users to invite friends to events via personalized messages on its Messenger app.

Reader Matteo Gamba shared the screenshot below with SocialTimes, in which the following message appeared at the top of an events-creation screen:

New! Now you can invite people by typing in their email address, even if they don’t use Facebook.
