Internet Killed The Radio Star: National Public Radio Is Just 'NPR' Now

Seeing how it’s scope isn’t limited to publically-funded radio programming on a national level, National Public Radio has decided to change its name to simply “NPR.” The network also currently produces web and music-related content in addition to its radio shows (which, of course, can also be listened to online).

The change has not been formally announced, but staff have been notified to refer to their employer solely as “NPR” during their segments.
