Instagram Users Can Now Search by Keyword

They were previously limited to hashtags, locations, names, usernames

The feature began rolling out in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.K. and the U.S. Instagram

Instagram began introducing an update to its search functionality enabling people to use keywords to find content on the platform that is relevant to their interests.

Prior to Tuesday, Instagram users were only able to search hashtags, locations, names and usernames.

The feature began rolling out Tuesday in English to users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.K. and the U.S.
