Instagram: Here's How to Mute a Topic on Your Explore Tab
Remove things you're not interested in
Instagram recently updated its Explore section, splitting content into different topic channels across the top of the screen. For instance, your Explore tab may have topics like “Animals” and “Food.” If you see a topic you’re not interested in, our guide will show you how to hide it.

Step 1: At the top of the Explore tab, tap and hold on the topic channel you wish to hide.
