Instagram Users Now Have More Control Over Comments on Their Posts

Instagram also debuted a new kindness-themed heart-shaped sticker

Instagram announced two new safety features Tuesday: more control over comments and anonymous reporting during live videos.

Co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom announced the new safety features in a blog post, which also revealed the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network’s new kindness-themed heart-shaped sticker.

Instagram users with accounts set to public will begin seeing a new way to determine who can comment on their posts, starting Tuesday. They can choose from everyone or specific groups of people, such as accounts they follow or their followers.

Other accounts can now be blocked from commenting on posts, whether users’ accounts are public or private.
