Mobile ad network InMobi has partnered with Line Corporation to promote Line Free Coins to app developers on a global scale. The partnership will help developers promote their apps to users in several Asian territories, from Thailand to Hong Kong.

Line Free Coins are available through the Line platform on Android, and see users being rewarded with coins for installing partnered applications. When users download these apps and collect coins, they can redeem them for sticker packs for use in Line’s messaging platform.

Line and InMobi will work to promote developers and apps in seven markets: Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

“We are excited to be partnering with Line, a worldwide leader in messaging applications,” said Kazusuke Obi, Vice President and Regional Director, Japan at InMobi, in a company statement.

“This collaboration will help Line leverage the InMobi advertising network and offer global app developers a new and powerful way to acquire users through its Line Free Coins. InMobi provides a global platform in the mobile ecosystem, and we hope to open up new markets with Line through this partnership.”

The Line platform has over 290 million users worldwide, and is available to download for free on Google Play.

Many developers have already targeted Asian markets via its popular mobile messaging apps. Outplay Entertainment and King, as examples, released their games Bubble Blaze and Candy Crush Saga (respectively) on Korea’s Kakao Talk earlier this year.
