Indian Court Asks Facebook, Google to Remove Anti-Religious Content

As a follow up to the request by various Indian politicians to remove content from Orkut, a trial court has asked Facebook and Google to remove “anti-religious” and “anti-social” content from their networks.  This request includes the removal of videos from YouTube and social posts from Google’s Orkut network, as well as Google search and Facebook’s entire database.

The request is about ensuring that posts on the networks are deleted before they can cause disruptions in the social structures of India.
