In Wake of Deadly Colorado Shootings, Unfortunate Choice for New York Times 'Dark Knight' Headline

If you didn’t see the tragic news, a shooter opened fire early this morning at a suburban Denver movie theater. At least 12 people were killed and dozens more were injured.

It was a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. The final installment of the latest Batman trilogy, directed by Christopher Nolan, and starring Christian Bale.

With the movie debuting early this morning, The New York Times published a review featuring the unfortunate headline choice: A Rejected Superhero Ends up At Ground Zero.

While the shooting in Aurora appears to have involved a lone gunman, he may have been treating it like a terrorist act.
