In Memoriam: Liz Callan

Liz Callan, an award-winning producer for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer for more than twenty years, passed away on Friday at the Washington Hospital Center from injuries suffered in a fire. She was 57 years old.

Prior to her joining The NewsHour in 1987, Liz was a producer and writer for NBC News in New York for eleven years.

She is survived by her daughter Gabriella of Washington, DC, her brothers Ned of Brooklyn Heights, New York, and John of Stratford, Connecticut.
