Idol and Dancing Take Top Spots of Week
As with most weeks, American Idol and Dancing With The Stars grabbed the top of the ratings list. As Idol‘s four remaining finalists competed, the program was number one in New York, according to the Nielsen Company.
The Wednesday night performance episode on Fox 5/WNYW tallied an estimated 1.8 million viewers with an 8.9 rating. The elimination broadcast on Thursday was third (1.6 million/8.2).
As for Dancing on WABC, it landed at number two (1.7 million/8.5), four (1.3 million/6.8), and six (936,000/4.6).
