IBM Lotus Notes Makes Friends with Android, BlackBerry and iPhone

For some reason communicating with Microsoft Exchange Server from various mobile platforms (including non-Microsoft ones like the iPhone and Android) has been a lot easier than working with IBM’s Lotus Notes/Domino Server. I know it looked pretty complicated and very expensive to provide mobile connectivity with Notes/Domino when I looked at the issue in depth several years ago in my old job.

IBM Lotus Notes Traveler Companion 1.4

…was released on Dec. 22, 2009. Note that the Lotus Notes Traveler Server in the data center must be at version 8.5.1.1 (or newer) to work with this app. The 10 people who rated it so far appear to be happy campers giving the app a 4.5 (out 5) star average rating.
