Hypergiant Space Age Solutions Acquires Software Developer Black Pixel

The 50-person team will move partially to Texas and retain a remote office

Hypergiant Space Age Solutions acquired custom software development studio Black Pixel. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Machine intelligence technology company Hypergiant Space Age Solutions is the commercial services division of Hypergiant Industries and is based in Austin, Texas, with offices in Dallas and Houston. Its clients include TGI Fridays, Schlumberger, Wing Stop, Bosch, Apollo Aviation Group and GE Power.

Seattle-based Black Pixel has created applications and developed software and back-end services for clients including ESPN, Twitter, The New York Times, Apple, Starbucks and This American Life.

As part of the merger, Black Pixel co-founder and CEO Daniel Pasco joined Hypergiant Space Age Solutions as director of engineering.
