HTC Shift (Windows Vista/CE) vs. HTC EVO Shift 4G (Android)

If you look at HTC’s product page for the HTC Shift, you might be puzzled by Phonearena’s scoop.

EXCLUSIVE: Real photos of the HTC EVO Shift 4G

The old (current) HTC Shift was released years ago. At 1.7 pounds it is lighter than what we know consider a netbook. It has a 7-inch display with a 800×480 pixel resolution that we know see on smartphones with 4-inch screens. It dual-booted Windows Vista and Windows CE. You can see this old device in the photo on the left.

The rumored HTC EVO Shift 4G, on the other hand, is (if Phonearena’s photos are accurate) about the size of conventional smartphone with a pull-down keyboard and runs Android OS.
