How Twitter Accounts Rest in Peace

Twitter detailed its policy for how family members or friends of deceased users should handle their accounts, Mashable reports.

Family members or friends are asked to submit links to obituaries, as well as information about the deceased, and Twitter said accounts of deceased users will no longer appear under Who to Follow.

From the Twitter Help Center:

If we are notified that a Twitter user has passed away, we can remove their account or assist family members in saving a backup of their public Tweets.
