Habitat, a furniture retailer in the United Kingdom, is wiping egg off its face after adding hashtags including “Iran” and “Mousavi” to its Twitter Tweets in an attempt to drive users to its Website, reported.

The company would not say who was responsible for the decision, but it released a statement saying, “We would like to make a very sincere apology to any users who were offended by last week’s activity on Twitter. This was absolutely not authorized by Habitat. We were shocked when we discovered what happened and are very sorry for the offense that has been caused,” according to
