How Important is Location in Emerging Social Video Apps?

Andreatta says that location is essential, but is often an overlooked element of social interaction. I don’t know if that is as true today as it was last month. Social media is constantly changing. With the “check-in” apps and other location-based apps, users can socialize at specific locations more now.

BitFlx has just introduced the concept of “location-aware” in their new social video application, but what does that mean?  It’s an iPhone video application that enables users to create and share real-time video connections with other users in their vicinity. BitFlx integrates video content and “place” into a user’s mobile lifestyle in a way that’s timely and relevant. It’s about where users find themselves now, and offers the point of view from the location.

“BitFlx creates a window into what’s happening near and now and provides a new way for users to experience their community, both visually and by location,” said Sebastian Andreatta, founder and CEO, BitFlx.
