How Al Jazeera America's Domestic and Global Resources Help 'Deepen' News Understanding

In the latest installment of MediabistroTV’s “What’s Your Show?” we go behind the scenes at Al Jazeera America’s primetime newscast with John Seigenthaler, which airs at 8pmET weeknights.

The mission is quite “radical,” Seigenthaler tells 10,000 Words: to provide unbiased, in-depth journalism for AJAM’s audience. The production process is a collective effort between 12 bureaus in the U.S., and 70 around the world.

“The ability to go to somebody in Sebastopol, somebody in Simferopol, somebody else in Paris, and bring all those perspectives to the story…it just deepens the understanding of what’s going on,” network President Kate O’Brian tells 10,000 Words.
