Hotline Interviews Kagan

From today’s “Friday Feature” with Daryn Kagan:

    What was your first job?

I was a roller skating delivery girl for a sandwich shop in the middle of Beverly Hills. I would line brown sack lunches up and down my long arms and skate all around the business triangle. Into office buildings and stores. Looking back it was crazy and dangerous! We didn’t wear helmets or knee and wrist guards and the aim was to go as fast as you could. The more lunches you delivered, the more tips. I worked every day 11a-2p. California sunshine. Listen to tunes. Always leave with a wad of cash from tips. Yep. That was the life!

What’s your most embarrassing on-the-job moment? (Or as embarrassing as you’d like to reveal?)

Uh oh. Does this mean you’ve found the tape??? It happened at my first TV job at KEYT, Santa Barbara. Let’s just say, it was an excellent lesson in, “If you have a microphone attached to you and you are sitting in front of a camera, ASSUME you are on the air and everything you say and do will be broadcast.

It’s 2026 — where are you and what are you doing?

I’m running my foundation benefiting children around the world.

If you could go to any live concert tonight, which one would it be?
