Horn Group Lands Gannett Digital Account

First on PRNewser: Horn Group has been named PR agency of record for Gannett Digital companies PointRoll, Ripple6 and the Gannett Digital Media Network, which encompasses media brands including Momslikeme.com and Highschoolsports.net, as well as other national and local media properties.

Catherine Spurway, Vice President, Strategy & Marketing at Point Roll, led the agency review.

She told PRNewser the company “went through extensive RFP process.”

The process started with twelve firms, and eventually was whittled down to a pitch list of three. Weber Shandwick previously served as Gannett Digital’s PR agency of record.

“The folks that we work with are top agencies working with top brands, delivering campaigns to top publishers,” Spurway told PRNewser. “From Ford, Nike and Pfizer to distribution folks like Yahoo!, USA Today and local Gannett newspapers, these are all leading brand. So from a PR and marketing perspective, it’s critically important for Point Roll and Gannett Digital overall to have really strong stories in the marketplace on how we can solve brand challenges.”

Horn Group’s New York office is leading the account.
