Social media management system HootSuite beefed up its analytics portfolio with its acquisition of social analytics solution uberVU.

uberVU’s enterprise customers include 3M, NBC, Heinz, Fujitsu, SC Johnson, Getty Images, Indiegogo, and L’Occitane. The company said its technology allows brands to:

  • Understand the social audience: Customers can quickly view analytics to understand the most effective ways of engaging with their audiences, including who the influencers are in relevant topics.
  • Discover marketing insights: Customers can easily detect real-time spikes in sentiment, location, demographics, and identify top influencer mentions.
