Hitwise: Clean Sweep for MSNBC in Cable-News Category
ABC and CBS retained their respective holds on the top two spots for broadcast-network Web sites for the week ending July 17, according to data from Hitwise.
The top three broadcast-show sites were unchanged from the week ending July 10: CBS’ Big Brother and Fox’s American Idol and America’s Most Wanted.
The top two cable-network show sites were unchanged, as well: Comedy Central’s South Park and ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. MTV’s The Hills displaced Comedy’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to claim third place.
MSNBC had all of the top three shows in the recently introduced cable-news category: Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Rachel Maddow Show, and Zeitgeist.
