Hitwise: America’s Most Wanted Is Wanted by Web Surfers

According to Hitwise, ABC and CBS once again maintained their positions as the top-ranked broadcast-network Websites for the week ending March 13.

Fox’s American Idol remained the top broadcast-network-show Website, but ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor were displaced from the second and third spots, with Fox’s America’s Most Wanted soaring into the No. 2 position and CBS’ Survivor placing third.

The top two spots for cable networks (adults only) were unchanged from the previous two weeks: Comedy Central’s South Park, and Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club. Comedy’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart grabbed the No. 3 spot.

When combining broadcast and cable networks, Idol and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants claimed the top two spots for the second week in a row, while South Park bumped Dancing with the Stars out of third place, reversing last week’s move by the latter.

Fast risers on the broadcast list were two shows from The CW: America’s Next Top Model (to No. 18 from No. 41), and Gossip Girl (21 from 44).

Cable’s fast risers were Spike TV’s TNA iMPACT (13 from 78), MTV’s My Life as Liz (15 from 25), FX’s Justified (16 from 98), and Bravo’s Shear Genius (18 from 32).

The only fast riser among the top 25 Websites was The Daily Show (5 from 19).
