Hey Politico! Check Your Nelsons

Will the real Bill Nelson (to the left) please stand up?! Things sure do get confusing when the subjects of your reporting have a common last name.  Take NPR’s Vivian Schiller and Ron Schiller, for example.  For years we thought they were the same person, married, brother and sister…or all of the above.  Turns out they’re not the same person at all.  They’re not even related!?!

But that same multi-family last name phenomenon might explain why Politico‘s running today a photo of Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson to accompany a story about Sen.
