The Brands and Organizations Named Winners of the 12th Annual Shorty Awards

Ceremony will be livestreamed on Periscope and YouTube on Sunday, May 3

The brands and organizations winners for the 12th Annual Shorty Awards were revealed Thursday morning.

Adweek took home the win in the Best Use of Artificial Intelligence category for its Super Bowl Bot, developed by creative and innovation editor David Griner and emerging tech reporter Patrick Kulp. @SuperBowlBot is a text-generating AI trained on nearly 3,000 descriptions of Super Bowl ads sourced from around the web, including Adweek’s Super Bowl Ad Trackers from recent years.

The Shorty Awards teamed up with creative agency We Are Social to create a fully digital multiplatform livestreamed awards ceremony, which will take place Sunday, May 3, at 7 p.m.
