Hachette Needs a Digital Managing Editor

Hachette has a job for you, intrepid digital person. Or maybe they do. The publisher is looking for a Digital Managing Editor.

According to Hachette, the company is looking for someone who can “manage e-book and digital development projects for the Hachette Digital division. This individual will oversee and analyze digital budgets and has responsibility for achieving assigned sales, profit and return on investment goals.”

The company is looking for someone with a lot of publishing experience, including editorial, but this is the kind of publishing job that’s opening up these days–GalleyCat’s own Ron Hogan left the blogosphere for a similar job at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Maybe you are next.
