Gwen Ifill, Judy Woodruff to Lead PBS NewsHour’s Election Night Coverage

7907972038_f67b6c9dd0_o_slideshow-300x200“PBS NewsHour’s” Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff will co-host live programming starting at 6 pm on Tuesday, November 4 of the midterm elections. Updated editions of NewsHour will air at 7 pm and 9 pm and all programming will appear both in broadcast and online.

And later at 11 pm, Ifill and Woodruff will host a 30-minute special on the latest results from Senate, House and gubernatorial races throughout the country. Joining the NewsHour co-anchors throughout the evening will be weekend anchor Hari Sreenivasan, columnist Mark Shields, former speechwriter for President George W. Bush Michael Gerson, Cook Political Report’s Amy Walter, Rothenberg Political Report’s Stu Rothenberg, NewsHour’s Domenico Montanaro, and recent hire Lisa Desjardins.

Online, in addition to live streamed coverage, “PBS NewsHour” will feature an interactive election center with live election results and a live blog reporting on key races throughout the country.
