Guillermo del Toro to Guest Direct LA Film Festival
Guillermo del Toro will be making an appearance at the upcoming Los Angeles Film Festival–signing on to become guest director for the event. His role will entail selecting a film that inspired him as a young filmmaker and then leading a conversation about the movie and its influence.
Del Toro will also close out the festival on June 26th by holding the world premiere of his latest horror film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. The film is based on the 1973 telefilm of the same name, which del Toro apparently believes is the “scariest TV production ever made.”
