Griffin RoadTrip & Hands-free Microphone Provides Car Audio Alternatives

Griffen provided a list of products they introduced during CES last week…

New products announced at CES

I found two of Griffin’s new products intersting myself…

Roadtrip is a car charger/FM transmitter for the iPhone or iPod (various models). I’ve been using the iTrip AutoPilot for a few months now and have been pleased with the way it works. Unlike the iTrip AutoPilot’s free standing port plug, Roadtrip goes back to the older cradle design. It looks like it needs spacers to work with the smaller iPods.

Hands-free Microphone with AUX Audio Cable looks like a good choice for those of you with an iPhone and a car that has an Aux audio input jack. This lets you connect the iPhone to your car using an audio cable. The new wrinkle provided by the Hands-free Microphone is that lets you hear phone calls over your car’s speaker system while letting you speak hands-free by using the external microphone. This provides a simpler alternative to configuring a Bluetooth car speakerphone.
