Graff's "The Threat Matrix" Hits Bookstores

After two years of research and writing, Washingtonian Editor Garrett Graff is finally celebrating the release of his new book, “The Threat Matrix: The FBI at War in the Age of Global Terror.”  In bookstores today, Graff’s latest work details a history of the FBI, counterterrorism, and FBI Director Robert Mueller.   The book sweeps from the death of J. Edgar Hoover in 1972 to the Times Square bombing of last May, tracing along the way the way that the FBI “learned” to fight terrorism, from the first case it worked internationally to the first time it captured a terrorist overseas and brought him back to stand trial, to the early work on al-Qaeda in the 1990s.

Graff’s official kickoff is tonight at the National Press Club library series.
