Government Denies Teddy Tweets to Adoring Public

We’ll call this the first hurdle.

From Ranger Daniel Prebutt:

I ran your idea/plea right up the public affairs ladder and this is what I was told. The NPS had considered this (presidential tweets) in the past, but since we are a U.S. government agency, rather than a historical society, we must be careful when ‘talking’ in a presidents voice. The words could be subject to political interpretation (good for political journalists, bad for the impartiality of our agency). So, as they say, this fish is dead in the water. I will continue to tweet quotes, events, and other goodies, but T.R. will not speak. This is the official decision and I must abide by it.

So yes, our next call is to the Teddy Roosevelt Association.
