Facebook Plans to Ease Ban on Dairy Product Promotions

Facebook has so far grouped dairy products together with alchohol and firearms under items that it bans from being promoted through its service. But that is going to change.

The Center for Consumer Freedom, an ambiguously-named Washington, D.C. advocacy nonprofit supported by restaurants and food companies, has been making a push to get Facebook to loosen its terms around what sort of food products can be promoted on Facebook. And the effort seems to be working.
