Google's NFC Mobile Ad & Payment Play: Hotpot, Gingerbread, Zetawire

Google has not had much luck with social network product launches (Wave, Buzz, Latitude). But, they do know how to see web ads and how to find new ways to do so. For example, it turned out that Google’s Hotpot location stickers were enabled for NFC (Near Field Communications) detection. Next we learned that Google Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) supports NFC hardware in the next round of of some Android phones (like the Nexus S).
