Google Updates Gesture Search For Android

One of the most used apps on my Nexus One is Google Gesture Search. I’ve written before about how I use Gesture Search as an application launcher because it is faster than scrolling through the Android app menu. For example, to start Yelp I tap the Gesture Search icon on the home screen, write a “Y” on the screen, and Yelp is one of the apps starting with Y listed on the screen. Gesture Search also displays contacts that contain the letters that you write, so you can use it as a smart dialer by writing the name of the person that you want to call until it appears on the screen.
