Google to Take On Facebook

Michael Arrington has just posted about Google’s plans to launch a new social graph that takes on Facebook. On November 5 they are going to announce a new set of APIs that will tie into a new social layer across all of Google’s services. These services include Orkut, iGoogle, Gmail, Google Talk and other services. From the sounds of this, the aim is to provide access to all of Google’s social features. You thought Facebook’s platform was big news? This looks bigger.
