Google Open Spot for Android Might Help You Find a Parking Spot

TheNextWeb’s Chad Catacchio begins his writeup about Google’s new Open Spot app for Android by writing: Android just got that much better.

And, yes, if you are in city with a relatively large number of Android users like San Francisco, this is probably true. In my little hamlet of roughly 380,000 people in the metro area and 900,000 people in the county, I drew exactly zero hits in the downtown area.
I suspect, however, that Google Open Spot for Android (free in the Android Market) will become more useful even here over time as current Android phone users discover the app and more people buy Android phones in the weeks and months to come.
