Google Mobile App for iPhone Updated
While Google is clearly focusing on mobile apps for Android, they do provide a handful of apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Today an update has been released to the Google Mobile App for iPhone to support push notifications for Gmail and Google Calendar. The Google Mobile App icon displays the number of new e-mail messages in Gmail, and Google Calendar event reminders appear on the home screen.

Google also improved search in the mobile app so that flight information, stock quotes, weather updates, and currency conversion appear without having to tap the search button.
