Google Buys QuickOffice
Google has just announced that they’re getting into office apps (again). QuickOffice, a decade old developer of office apps, now belongs to Google. The sale price hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it looks to me like Google was interested in the apps QuickOffice has developed for iOS and Android.
Sure, Google Docs works on multiple platforms, but it doesn’t work offline. Google had planned to release an offline version by March 2011, but they still haven’t done so.
